BIONICS:
The science of constructing artificial systems that have some of the characteristics of living systems

WHY BIONICS?
Humans communicate with their hands, and good teamwork needs good communication. By giving hands to robots, we allow them not only to interact with the world in a more versatile way, but also communicate with people to a much greater degree.
At Sentient Bionics we have extensively studied the human hand and have created a simple and cost effective system which requires only one input actuator to intricately control all five digits. The key to our design is a thumb which is manually locked into three positions to create a variety of gripping styles including three point chuck, power grip and lateral pinch. The hand will also conform around unique and weird shapes, for a reliable grip every-time.
